About BrowserFairy: Browser Launcher
BrowserFairy makes links open in the browser you actually meant to use.
Your Mac only lets you choose one default browser. Your day does not work that way.
A work link opens in the browser where you are signed in with a personal account. A calendar link opens in your testing browser. A client portal opens in the wrong profile, so you copy the URL, switch browsers, paste it, and wait again.
BrowserFairy stops that loop.
Set BrowserFairy as your default browser, create a few simple rules, and links open in the right browser before the page even loads. Keep work and personal browsing separate, send development links to your testing browser, or route specific apps and websites exactly where they belong.
Use BrowserFairy to:
- Open work domains in your work browser
- Keep personal accounts in a separate browser
- Route localhost and staging URLs to testing browsers
- Send links from specific apps to specific browsers
- Open client sites in the correct browser profile with BrowserFairy Pro
How it works:
- Create rules based on websites, URL text, or the app that opened the link
- Reorder rules so the most specific match wins
- Expand supported short links before routing when possible
- Automatically open links in the browser or profile you choose
BrowserFairy also includes a fast keyboard launcher. Press Cmd-Option-B anywhere on your Mac to open a compact browser picker, choose a browser with the keyboard, and keep going. With BrowserFairy Pro and profile support enabled, you can also launch supported browser profiles directly.
Opened a page in the wrong browser already? BrowserFairy includes extensions for Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge so you can send the current page back through BrowserFairy without copying and pasting URLs.
Most of the time, BrowserFairy quietly lives in your menu bar and stays out of your way. Set up your rules once, then let links go where they should.
Free and Pro:
- Free: browser launcher and up to 3 active rules
- BrowserFairy Pro: unlimited active rules, browser profile routing, and rule import/export
BrowserFairy Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. Subscription details and current pricing are shown in the app before purchase.
Requirements:
- macOS 13 or later
- BrowserFairy must be set as your default browser to route links automatically
- Browser extensions are optional
